They transferred him into a chair - that sure woke him up.
He kept his eyes open for the better part of an hour (sometimes more
alert than others). He was up in the chair nearly two hours, which is the max suggested time. Has been very sleepy ever since.
The RT (who is very punny & tells extremely corny jokes, not unlike a
certain other person in the room) plans to take out his trach tube and
put in a smaller one - less irritating and will also make it easier for him to learn to swallow and start to try to verbalize. So that is on the schedule for Friday."

I just sent this update out to our prayer chain - they will be so happy to hear of your little leaps and continue to storm heaven. Thanks so much to your loves for keeping us posted on your progress.
