Brendan continues to show alertness the past few days.
They put a speaking valve on the trach this morning. Thus far, no noises yet.
His sister and brother were able to be with him today, and they thought he may have smiled at some jokes.
He has been consistently able to wiggle fingers (once even robustly, with delay) and raise arm (did so with some delay). Again, all left side.
His therapy includes sitting him upright in a chair for a couple of hours a day.
Keep it up, Brendan! The nurses are all saying he is doing what he needs to do to heal.
