From  his brother, Donovan, on Monday:


"Brendan waved immediately when I asked him to wave hi to mom. He also immediately stuck his tongue out at them when I asked him to. They put dad on and I asked him to say "hi dad" and he did right away, clear enough that they could hear it on their end too. He does't always do this by any means, but sometimes he has a period of the day when he is very responsive like this! "

Today (Tuesday)  he said "hello" to sister on Skype -- doesn't happen every time, but sure sounds good when it does. 

Doctors are monitoring for trach removal. 

He continues to sleep (which he needs) for much of the day, but we are encouraged by the alertness we are seeing!
